Gables at Green Pastures. Residents at The Gables enjoy the quiet

Rehabilitation Neighborhood
The focus of this neighborhood is the acute clinical care and
rehabilitation of short- and long-term residents. Many of these
residents come to The Gables after being discharged from the hospital
and need additional professional medical care or rehabilitation before
they can return to their normal lifestyles. Others need daily medical
attention that must be administered by clinical personnel. The Skilled
Nursing Neighborhood houses a full-service therapy center for physical,
speech and occupational therapy sessions. Hospice and respite care are
also offered.
Long Term Care Neighborhood
Maintaining functional independence is the goal for residents in the Intermediate
Care neighborhood. Those who live here are typically able to perform
many activities of day-to-day life, but are unable to live totally on
their own. Our caring staff is sensitive to the needs of these
individuals and does everything possible to help them live with dignity
in a supervised, home-like environment. Residents are encouraged to
take advantage of our many planned events and social activities ranging from crafts to worship. They are also
invited to participate in monthly council meetings to help decide on
recreational activity programs for their enjoyment.
Special Care Neighborhood
Coping with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia is often
more than most family caretakers can bear. That’s where The Gables can
help. We offer the loving care and secure facilities your loved one
needs to live in comfort and safety. Recreational staff provides
group and individual activities designed to stimulate thinking and
enhance mental capacity—like reminiscing about the past, listening to
familiar music and socializing with others. Meals are served in a
home-like setting with a dining room specifically tailored for this
neighborhood. You can count on The Gables to make the quality of life
your loved one deserves our number one priority.
Everyone who lives at The Gables is a valued member of our community,
whether he or she is a short-term rehabilitation patient, or a
long-term resident. Some people wish only to live comfortably and
quietly without major concerns. Others have lived and worked at a
faster pace and still prefer a more active daily routine. Because we
care about the physical and emotional needs of all residents, The
Gables offers choices in our neighborhoods, activities and services. We
